COVID Safety Protocol and ADA limitations
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and City of Baltimore continually update their COVID-19 Guidelines. The festival is an open air, outdoor event. At this time large crowds and people attending public events are strongly recommended to wear face masks regardless of vaccination status, and to practice social distancing where possible.
Poe Fest International will REQUIRE face masks for those entering enclosed spaces during ticketed events. Historic sites do not have modern ventilation systems therefore only people who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 and are willing to wear face masks should purchase tour or event tickets.
NOTE: This protocol may change as guidance from the CDC, State of Maryland and the City of Baltimore evolve. Those traveling to Baltimore from locations out of state should be prepared to follow ALL local guidance.
The festival is an event held outdoors and all tents are at street level and accessible. Sidewalks and ramps are unobstructed.
Ticketed events and tours may be for locations that are historic and thus not ADA accessible, including to service animals. Activities such as walking and stairs may be necessary to view them fully. Attendees are advised to take these challenges into consideration before purchasing tickets as refunds cannot be given to those unable to tour buildings without elevators or ramps.
Please dial 911 for all emergencies. Baltimore City Police and Festival Security will also be present on-site to contact for assistance.
Proof of vaccination is required for some ticketed events, yes. When you purchase your ticket you will be asked to agree to this requirement. Other events that are not ticketed or do not involve prolonged time indoors do not require proof of vaccination, but you will still be required to wear a mask. Note: entry will be refused and refunds will not be provided to ticket holders who agreed to terms at purchase and subsequently refuse to follow our protocol. Purchase with caution.
Attendees who test positive for COVID after they purchase may request a refund by providing copy of the positive test and ticket order number at contact@poefestinternational.org or replying to your ticket email.
COVID vaccination card (printed or photo) accompanied by matching photo ID. Full vaccination must have been administered a full two weeks before the first festival event. September 23, 2022 is the cutoff.
No.
Printed or image of CDC vaccination card with full dose administered by September 23, 2022. Proof of full vaccination must be accompanied by a matching Photo ID for entry.
